The Buick Regal Grand National has a turbocharged 200hp engine, and (unless you’re a performance junky) with stock configurations it could reach a quarter mile in 15.9 seconds. This one will likely strike up a bit of a debate since it’s one of the more likable T-top’s on the list. Some have electrical and/or mechanical issues, some are completely overpriced, some have a lot less than what their competitors are bringing to the table, and others commit all of the above sins. ![]() That being said, many of the cars below aren’t straight-up duds, but they’re also not necessarily worth purchasing (especially in today’s market). ![]() Therefore, it’s important to recognize that no matter what brand may capture your heart, each has its own set of flaws and not every car that pops out of their factory is worth gold. Every brand has its lemons and each has a fair share of trial and error with new car technology. We all have our own preferences even if they may be a bit unreasonable, but this ultimately leads us to our own demise…eventually. This is a really common occurrence amongst car enthusiasts and those that are loyal to a specific manufacturer. Too often, we’re blinded by our own biases. However, many of these cars truly shouldn’t be considered at all. ![]() ![]() In other words, T-tops should never be considered as a daily driver. The T-bar top has an issue with not keeping the doors sealed well enough to keep you safe from the elements, which makes winter driving unbearable and rainy day ventures an annoyance. Of course, they are pretty neat-looking cars but many of them have a long-standing problem with leaking – not from the roof itself, but from the door seals. Many of the unsuspecting teens and naïve buyers are willing to scoop up a T-top for it’s cool, retro styling.
